Ahmedabad: Today, before 146th Rath Yatra of Lord Jannath, religious tradition of Jal Yatra was organized in the Ahmedabad city. Jal Yatra procession started from Jannath Temple and reached Sabarmati river, where after filling 108 bronze metal pots with sacred water from Sabarmati river and aarti to the river was performed. The Temple is full of devotees who attended Jal Yatra and got opportunity to serve lord Jagannath.
this year Jal Yatra was held today on June 4. Before 146th Rath Yatra of lord Jagannath, preparations are being made for the Jal Yatra. After the Jal Yatra, the Lord will go to Maternal uncle’s house in Saraspur.
This year Rath Yatra in ahmedabad will be taken out on Jun 20, 2023 Tuesday.
Preparations for 146th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is in full swing. Lord Jagannath will sit in a new chariot this year. New chariots were prepared after a gap of 72 years. Trial run of the chariot will be done in the temple premises. The chariot will be tried in the temple premises in Jamalpur area of Ahmedabad. A trial of whether the chariot is suitable for traveling will be conducted.
