Gujarat Weather: Meteorological Department has sounded alert for next 5 days and possibility of strong winds

For Gujarat Weather,  Forecast of heavy winds with rain in Gujarat has been expressed by the state Meteorological Department. The Meteorological Department has also alerted of gusty winds. Today in the state, Saurashtra including Ahmedabad, Vadodara and parts of North Gujarat there have also been incidents of damage at some places due to rain with stormy winds in the morning.

Ahmedabad: Pre-monsoon conditions have set in Gujarat, the state is likely to receive rain for two days, along with lightning and thundershowers and strong winds. The Meteorological Department has predicted wind gusts of up to 50 kmph. Western Disturbance and Cyclonic Circulation over Southwest Rajasthan are likely to bring rains in the state.

Today the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Amreli, Bhavnagar and Gir Somnath. It is to be noted that there are chances of rain in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Patan, Chota Udepur and other parts in the morning. There are chances of two days of rain in which there are chances of rain with light to thunder in North Gujarat’s Banaskantha and Sabarkantha and Diu, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli on June 5. For Five days,it has been predicted that the weather will remain dry from June 6 onwards.

The Meteorological Department has said that no major change in temperature is expected for the next 4-5 days. On June 4 and 5, the state is expected to experience strong winds, warning that the wind speed may increase from 30-40 kmph to 50 kmph,may also happen. There is a possibility in five days, in which strong winds are cautioned. Due to the rain and strong winds today there were also incidents of uprooting of electric poles. Along with incidents of uprooting of electric poles and falling in the trees, there were also incidents of uprooting of porches and flying of sheets placed on thatched houses.

The mercury level in the state has reduced due to rain, today  most Surendranagar, Rajkot and Amreli recorded the highest temperature of 41 degrees. The maximum temperature has decreased in the areas where it has rained. Ahmedabad recorded maximum temperature of 39 degrees while Gandhinagar recorded 40 degrees.
