22 Food Outlets of Shramik Annapurna Yojana and Shram ‘Sanman’ portal launched by Gujarat CM

Many schemes have been implemented in the state for laborers who ‘build houses’ for people. With no one on their side, the government is on his side. The state government is striving with such a goal. He added that under the ‘Shramik Annapurna Yojana’ of the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Labor Welfare Board, a total of 22 Kadiya Naka food outlets at Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar have been inaugurated today by the Chief Minister. Thereafter, food centers will be opened under this scheme in the next two months in a phased manner across the state, apart from these permanent centres, door step delivery facility will also be made available to the construction sites where more than 50 workers want to benefit from the scheme.
Apart from this, Shram ‘Sanman’ portal has also been launched so that the laborer’s time is not wasted and registration can be done easily. Speaking about the Shram ‘Sanman’ portal, the CM said that all benefits of the scheme can be obtained through digital means on one portal. The portal has been made operational. Recently, 5G services have been launched in the country, with an approach to cover laborers as well. With the ‘Sanman’ portal, no worker will have to go to the office anymore. All the process from application to approval has been made easy at home.


On this occasion, Minister of Labor and Employment Skill Development Brijesh Merja said that food and shelter are the basic needs of any person. Then ‘Annapurna Yojana’ has been started for the construction workers of the state. The registered workers are supposed to get this benefit, but for the workers who are not registered, a ‘Sanman’ portal has been started. This will also cover unregistered workers. With the aim of providing nutritious food to workers under this scheme, food will be made available to the workers for just Rs.5 .


Anju Sharma, Principal Secretary, Department of Labour, Skill Development and Employment, said in the welcome speech that schemes have been implemented for the construction workers at a cost of approximately Rs 500 crores. Shramik Annapurna Yojana, which has been restarted from today after being stopped during Corona period, will now provide nutritious meals to the workers for just Rs 5. Earlier, food was distributed from 119 Kadiya nakas. Now it will be distributed from 140 Kadiya nakas. Where more than 50 workers will be working, food will be provided on site.
After the ceremony , Chief Minister Patel and Labor and Employment Minister Merja also distributed food to beneficiaries of Shramik Annapurna Yojana. Also, cheques for study assistance, insurance assistance, marriage assistance etc. were distributed by dignitaries to students from working families.
Apart from this, around 1200 workers were also distributed with symbolic tiffins and bags. It may be mentioned here that currently 20 schemes related to health, accommodation, education, transport and social security are being implemented for the construction workers under the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Labor Welfare Board. A total of 14 schemes are being implemented for the organized sector workers under Gujarat Building and Other Construction Labor Welfare Board.
More than 8,54,000 workers registered under the other Construction Labor Welfare Board and more than 24.5 lakh registered under the Gujarat Labor Welfare Board totaling more than 33.4 lakh workers will be eligible to get benefits of the schemes. Now entire application process will be made Online through Shram Samman portal and transparency will be increased.
Today’s program was attended by MP Dinesh Anawadia, MLA Babu Jamnadas Patel, Mayor Kirit Parmar, State Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar, Employment and Training Board. Director Lalit Narayan Singh Sandu, Chairman of various committees of Ahmedabad Municipality, Councilor and Yojana beneficiaries were present in large numbers.
