55th AGM and Seminar of IPPTA held in Ahmedabad

Recently in Ahmedabad, 55th Annual General Meeting & Seminar – 2019 of IPPTA Indian Pulp and Paper Technical Association was held.

At Seminar discussions on Technical Advancement in Manufacturing of Packaging Grades of Paper covering Importance and Growth of Paper bags after Plastic bag ban, New Technical advancement in Paper Industry, Importance of Ahmedabad & Gujarat in Paper Industry and Employment Generation across the country.

The Indian Paper and Paperboard Industry is one of the oldest organised Manufacturing industries in India. There are about 750 big and small mills in India. The Indian paper industry accounts for approximately 4% of the world’s production of paper. It is estimated that the industry turnover is approximately Rs.50,000 crore/year with a contribution of Rs.4,500 crore to the exchequer while providing employment to over 5 lakh people.
