Total 9 Doctors, including 8 doctors on Contract, of VS Hospital have been suspended. VS Hospital is run by AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation run VS Hospital ( Sheth Vadilal Sarabhai General Hospital) of Ahmedabad have been suspended for Irregulariities in Financial Transactions. Action has been taken against Contract Doctor including including Associate Professor Devang Rana and Contract Doctors Yatri Patel, Dhaivat Shukal, Rajvi Patel, Rohan Shah, Krunal Sathwara, Shalin Shah, Darshil Shah and Kandarp Shah in the clinical trial case based on the vigilance report.
All Contract Doctors were called at NHL Medical College for explanation in the matter. 7 Contract Doctors were present at NHL, out of 8 Doctors, 1 Doctor was out of station so his father came to give reply to the management.
Five member committee comprising of Dr Bharat Parmar, Dr Shalin Shah is conducting an enquiry in the scam.
Contract Doctors are from Cardio, Skin, Psychiatry, ENT, Medicine & Surgical department. Inquiry Report will be presented to AMC Commissioner and further curse of action will be decided based on the outcome of Report.
