Proud to see the world’s tallest statue, a symbol of unity; everyone should visit the Statue of Unity,” says Kartik Aaryan
Ekta Nagar, Monday: Renowned Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan visited the Statue of Unity at Ekta Nagar in Narmada district on Monday during his visit to Gujarat to attend the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony organised at Ekta Nagar.
During his visit, Kartik Aaryan paid floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of India’s unity and national integration. He also visited the viewing gallery of the Statue of Unity, from where he witnessed panoramic views of the Narmada River, the Satpura and Vindhya mountain ranges, and the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam.
Kartik Aaryan was also briefed about the various tourism destinations, attractions and facilities developed at the Statue of Unity and Ekta Nagar. Information was provided to him about the planned tourism development initiatives undertaken in the region.
Sharing his experience, Kartik Aaryan said, “Today, I visited the world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, with my family. It makes me proud to see the world’s tallest statue, which is a symbol of unity. Everyone should visit the Statue of Unity.”
He further said, “My film has received its first National Award, which is a matter of great pride for me.”
During the visit, the Statue of Unity Authority organised a special cultural presentation featuring the traditional Holi and Rathwa tribal dances of Nani Devruvan from Narmada and Chhota Udepur districts. Kartik Aaryan participated in the cultural experience and enjoyed the rich tribal traditions of Gujarat.
On the occasion, Amit Arora, Chief Executive Officer of the Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority, felicitated Kartik Aaryan by presenting him with a souvenir and photographs. He also provided information about the Statue of Unity and various tourism projects being developed at Ekta Nagar.
The visit offered Kartik Aaryan an opportunity to experience not only the iconic Statue of Unity but also the natural beauty, tourism infrastructure and vibrant tribal heritage of Gujarat.
