Chitralekha, a revered name in Gujarati media and publishing, has
announced the launch of Chitralekha Mrs. Gujarat – 2016, a pageant
that celebrates the many talents, hues and facets of the modern
Gujarati woman. Calling for entries from the March 11, Chitralekha
Mrs. Gujarat, will serve as a platform for married women (they could be divorced/separated or widowed also) presently residing in Gujarat to showcase their beauty and talent. This prestigious pageant will reward the ability of the contestants to integrate intelligence and beauty with confidence and grace. Well-known actress & former Femina Miss India World, Sayali Bhagat is the face of Chitralekha Mrs Gujarat 2016 Chitralekha beauty contest.
Mrs Gujarat will invite entries from married women in the age-group of 18- 40 yrs who currently reside in Gujarat, last date for receiving entries being March 25. State-wide auditions of the shortlisted contestants will be held between Apr 2-10 at Ahmedabad, Baroda, Rajkot and Surat following which, the best 21 contestants from all the auditions will be selected for the final rounds. These finalists will then be groomed in a residential phase in Ahmedabad wherein they will undergo rigorous training under the watchful eye of experts. There will also be four mini-title rounds which will be held during the period. The Chitralekha Mrs Gujarat 2016 Grand Finale will be held in Ahmedabad on April 23 where the 21 finalists will compete with each other over 3 rounds of traditional, Indo-Western and gown to be crowned Chitralekha Mrs Gujarat 2016 along with the 1st and 2nd runners up. Judges from different fields like Bollywood, Fashion & Modeling, Photography, Media and Fashion Designing will judge the contestants.
