Adani Group-run SVPI Airport caters to over 3.6 lakh passengers in festive rush in Ahmedabad

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd., the flagship incubator of the globally diversified Adani Portfolio, has achieved a new milestone by welcoming over 3.6 lakh passengers over the last ten days- October 29 to November 7. The Airport successfully handled over 2,900 flights, ensuring smooth operations for passengers.

On 7th November, SVPI Airport recorded its highest passenger count of the year, with over 41,700 passengers passing through the terminal and 313 Aircraft Traffic Movements (ATMs). In this festive period, Ahmedabad Airport also witnessed the second highest passenger movement, on 5th November, when the airport served over 40,700 passengers with 296 flight movements. The airport’s security team geared up for this festive rush and effectively scanned and processed over 1.8 lakh check-in bags headed for their respective destinations.

On regular days, Ahmedabad Airport manages an average of approximately 34,000 passengers each day, with 270 Aircraft Traffic Movements (ATMs). The smooth and seamless passenger movements of over 3.6 lakh travellers is testament to the dedication and hard work of all the airport stakeholders, including AAI, CISF, Immigration, Customs, airline partners and the SVPI Airport team.

This exceptional accomplishment is attributed to several ongoing and completed infrastructure updates and constant improvement to the infrastructure at Ahmedabad Airport. SVPI Airport’s strategic expansion and enhanced connectivity have played a pivotal role in driving this positive momentum. As Ahmedabad continues to grow as a major economic hub, SVPI Airport is well-positioned to serve as a vital gateway for both domestic and international travellers.
