Adani Skills & Education, Kachchh University Launch Centre of Excellence to Drive Green Energy Jobs in Kutch

  • The Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Green Energy in Bhuj, Gujarat, will help local
youth prepare for careers in the region’s growing renewable energy sector, where
the Adani Group has generated more than 21,000 direct and indirect jobs over the
    past two years.
  • Adani Skills & Education (ASE) and Kachchh University have launched thefacility inthe Kutch district, which will train more than 10,000 students every year in solarphotovoltaic (PV), wind energy, hybrid renewable systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and digital and industrial automation, while also supporting applied research and entrepreneurship.
  • Mr Karan Adani, Director, Adani Group, said investments in green energy must gohand in hand with investments in young people, as India’s renewable energy expansion creates new infrastructure, jobs and career opportunities.

Bhuj, 04 October 2026: Adani Skills & Education (ASE), the Adani Group’s capability-building
and skilling arm, and Kachchh University today inaugurated the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for
Green Energy at the university campus in Bhuj, Gujarat.

Adani’s green energy activities have generated more than 21,000 direct and indirect jobs in the
Kutch district over the past two years, increasing demand for people trained to build, operate
and maintain renewable energy infrastructure. The CoE will help meet this need by preparing
students for roles across the renewable energy value chain, while giving young people access
to industry-linked training closer to home.

The facility was inaugurated by Honourable Governor of Gujarat Shri Acharya Devvrat. It will
train more than 10,000 Kachchh University students every year through specialised
programmes in Solar PV Technologies, Wind Energy Systems, Hybrid Systems and Battery
Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Digital & Industrial Automation. It will also support
applied research and entrepreneurship in green energy.

Mr. Karan Adani, Director, Adani Group, said, “The Adani Group’s endeavour has always
been to work in sectors that will shape the future of India. Green energy is one such sector —
critical for both the nation’s progress and our future generations. This global Centre of
Excellence will ensure that students are equipped not only for today’s jobs, but also for the
emerging new opportunities across India and the world.”

Mr. Robin Bhowmik, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Adani Skills & Education (ASE), said, “The
renewable energy industry is growing quickly, but the specialised workforce needed to support it
is not keeping pace. That is the gap we want to address. By working with Kachchh University,
we can bring industry requirements into the classroom, give students practical exposure to the
technologies they will work with and help them move from education to employment.”

India is scaling up renewable energy to reach 500 gigawatts (GW) of non-fossil fuel-based
capacity by 2030, driving demand for both large-scale infrastructure and specialised technical
skills. Kutch is already seeing this growth. At Khavda, the Adani Group is developing a 30 GW
renewable energy park spread across 538 sq km, five times the size of the city of Paris, creating
demand for skills across solar, wind, energy storage and digital technologies.

The CoE will follow a structured Learn, Practise, Experience, Certify and Career pathway,
combining classroom, simulation-based and practical learning. Its curriculum covers solar PV,
wind energy, renewable integration, BESS and microgrids, as well as digital systems including
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) for monitoring and controlling industrial
equipment, Internet of Things (IoT)-based energy data and smart-grid technologies.
The initiative is part of ASE’s broader effort to build a scalable talent ecosystem for sectors
critical to India’s growth, giving students opportunities to engage with research and
entrepreneurship, pursue careers in the renewable energy sector closer to home, and gain
industry-led, real-world experience.
