Ahmedabad, Surat and Rajkot TP Schemes Approved by Gujarat Government; Sanand Township Proposal Rejected

The Gujarat Government has approved several key Town Planning (TP) schemes across Ahmedabad, Surat, and Rajkot, paving the way for planned urban development and infrastructure expansion in these rapidly growing regions.

In Ahmedabad, the government has granted approval to the Town Planning schemes covering the Paldi and Ambawadi areas. The Paldi Extension (Fourth Revised) TP Scheme has received clearance, although the government has also recommended certain modifications to the proposal. Meanwhile, the Ambawadi TP Scheme has been approved with a specific provision to reserve land for social infrastructure and public amenities, ensuring balanced urban growth and improved community facilities.

In a significant decision, the government has rejected the proposed Virochannagar-Khoraj Town Planning Scheme in Sanand Taluka. The reasons behind the rejection have not been officially detailed, but the move indicates the need for further review or revisions before the proposal can move forward.

Rajkot also received a boost as the Ghanteshwar-Parapipaliya TP Scheme was approved, supporting the city’s ongoing urban expansion and infrastructure planning efforts.

In Surat, the government approved amendments to the Kholvad-Bhada TP Scheme, allowing modifications aimed at improving the implementation and effectiveness of the development plan.

The approvals and revisions reflect the state’s continued focus on structured urban development, better infrastructure planning, and the creation of sustainable growth corridors across major cities in Gujarat. These TP schemes are expected to facilitate improved road networks, public amenities, and organized land use, contributing to long-term urban growth and investment opportunities.
