Gujarat 1985 IAS cadre Anil Mukim likely to be the next Chief Secretary of Gujarat post completion of tenure of successor Dr JN Singh (Jagadip Narayan Singh) on November 30th.
In May 2019, chief secretary Singh was granted 6 months of extension by Gujarat government.
