Incident of corruption in MNREGA scheme has come up. One active resident of Deesa in Banaskantha has made complaint at Deesa Rural police against Sarpanch, Deputy Sarpanch and 10 others was made by TDO. In Deesa taluka, grants worth crores of rupees was sanctioned out of which developmental work of many villages were either not done or done with poor quality. Deesa resident and TDO Burabhai Patel has lodged the complaint. During site visit no progress was seen. It was learnt that bogus job cards were made and government money was swallowed by officers and members of Panchayat and corruption was done. Bhurabai was fighting on the issue for past 2 years. After repeated complaints and Lokpal enquiry corruption was found in the case, as per sources.
