New Jersey, August 23, 2026: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, during his visit to the United States, addressed the Gujarati diaspora at the ‘Garvi Gujarat Global New Jersey’ programme and highlighted Gujarat’s development journey and its growing contribution to India’s economic growth.
Addressing members of the Gujarati and Indian communities, the Chief Minister said that the development journey initiated after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took charge as Gujarat’s Chief Minister has helped establish the state as a key growth engine of India.
Gujarat’s Development Journey
Patel outlined Gujarat’s transformation across various sectors and said the state has adopted policy-oriented planning not only to address present development needs but also to prepare for future opportunities.
He said Gujarat is working with a long-term vision to emerge as a leader across multiple sectors and contribute significantly to the goal of building a developed India.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the state government and the Gujarati diaspora worldwide in accelerating Gujarat’s development.
Invitation to Invest in Gujarat
During his address, Patel invited members of the Gujarati and Indian communities in the United States to participate in the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.
He urged investors and members of the diaspora to explore investment opportunities in Gujarat and become partners in the state’s ongoing development journey.
Patel said the government is undertaking strategic planning with a focus on creating new opportunities and strengthening Gujarat’s position across key sectors.
Diaspora as a Partner in Gujarat’s Growth
The Chief Minister’s interaction with the diaspora was aimed at strengthening the connection between Gujaratis living abroad and the state’s development agenda.
Calling upon the global Gujarati community to contribute to Gujarat’s future, Patel emphasised that investment, innovation and partnerships can play an important role in advancing the state’s vision for a developed Gujarat and, in turn, a developed India.
The ‘Garvi Gujarat Global New Jersey’ programme formed part of Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel’s US visit, providing an opportunity to present Gujarat’s development story before the Gujarati diaspora and invite greater participation in the state’s economic growth.
