Ahmedabad/Vadodara: As part of a statewide initiative, the Bharatiya Janata Party organized ‘Jan Seva Sankalp’ Pledge taking programmes across all 15 municipal corporations in Gujarat on Sunday.
In Karnavati (Ahmedabad), Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel attended the event held near the statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay at Kankaria and administered the pledge to BJP candidates from all 48 wards of the municipal corporation.

During the programme, candidates committed themselves to public service in line with the party’s ideology of Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person) and development. They also expressed dedication to working closely with citizens and ensuring the benefits of various welfare schemes of the Central and State governments reach every eligible beneficiary under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi

The event was attended by state cabinet minister Rushikesh Patel, BJP state vice-president Bharat Pandya, city BJP president Prerak Shah, Members of Parliament Hasmukh Patel and Dinesh Makwana, along with MLAs, party office-bearers, senior leaders, and workers.

Meanwhile, in Vadodara, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi was present at a similar event held near Kalaghoda Circle. In his presence, BJP candidates for the Vadodara Municipal Corporation elections also took the public service pledge.
The Vadodara programme saw the presence of state minister Dr. Manisha Vakil, BJP state general secretary Hitendrasinh Chouhan, Chief Whip of the Legislative Assembly Balakrishna Shukla, city BJP president Dr. Jayprakash Soni, MLAs, and other party leaders and workers.
The ‘Jan Seva Sankalp’ programme reflects the party’s effort to reinforce its grassroots connect and commitment to governance focused on welfare delivery and inclusive development ahead of the municipal elections.
