Centenarian Padma Shri columnist Nagindas Sanghvi passes away

Today news of renowned author, columnist, reviewer, critics. centenarian Shri Nagindas Sanghvi passed away at Surat after acute attack of Asthma. Treasurer of AICC All India Congress Committee and Rajya Sabha MP Hamadbhai Patel said that centenarian late Nagindas Sanghvi had an excellent career as a professor of Political Science. His writings on various subjects were unparalleled.

He wrote in languages including English, Hindi and Gujarati. Late Sanghvi was Padma Shree recipient, Indian’s 4th highest civilian honour in 2019. He was known for presenting various subjects, whether national or international, in beautiful words based on facts. The late Nagindas Sanghvi was like a university to journalists of new generation.


He started teaching career during 1951 to 1980 at Bhavan’s College, Andheri. He later moved to Ruparel College, Mahim and Mithibai College, Vile Parle teaching political science.
