Director Yash Johar’s memories recalled on 85th birth anniversary by son KJo

On Yash Johar’s 85th birth anniversary KJo, Karan Johar, ace film maker, recalling memories with his father Yash Johar, how he used to always give precedence to relationships over movies. He says it’s a “tall order” to follow.

On saturday KJo tweeted, “Dad’s birthday today…his stand was always to put relationships over films…a tall order to follow…I still try…miss him more than ever”.

Yash Johar, who died in 2004. Yash Joshar formed Dharma Productions in 1976. “Dostana” (1981), “Agneepath” (1990), “Hum” (1991), “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” (1998), “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” (2001) and “Kal Ho Naa Ho” (2003) are a few films produced by Yash Johar.

Father Yash launched son Karan as a director with “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”. Karan smoothly and sucessfully took over legacy of the Dharma Productions banner and has delivered several successful entertaining movies as a producer and director.
