On 10 November 2025, a powerful explosion occurred in a car parked near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, in the Old Delhi area. At least 8 people were killed and 20 others injured.

The explosion triggered a fire, damaging several nearby vehicles (cars, auto-rickshaws) in the congested area. Emergency services (fire tenders, police, special teams) responded promptly, and the area has been cordoned off.
