Food for Rs 5 in Ahmedabad under Shramik Annapurna Yojana inaugurated by Balwantsinh Rajput

Today under Shramik Annapurna Yojana 29 centers to be opened today in Ahmedabad city, including center 1 at Gandhinagar and 28 centers in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Industries and Labour and Employment Minister Balwantsinh Rajput visited one of the centers at Chandkheda Kadianaka and inaugurated the scheme and checked quality of the food by having a meal with Minister Kunvarji Halapati.

At these centers, the workers along with their families will get a nutritious meal for Rs five.

Annapurna scheme will be on 51 Kadianakas. Different types of food will be served every day including Shak -Rotli, shak-bakhri, shak-puri at a price of only Rs 5 per person. Earlier the scheme was started then food was provided for 10 rupees, now it will be provided for Rs 5. The state will provide one tin meal to the workers and their families involved in the construction industry and other unorganized sectors at Rs 5.
