An alarming case for parents of teenage children using social media has come to light in Ahmedabad city. In which a young girl studying in Std-10 came in contact with a young boy through Snap Chat and then the young boy took teenage girl with his friends to Mount Abu. University Police released the girl in a few hours of the incident and arrested two youths.
A few days ago, 16-years-old girl, who lives in the Gujarat University area, came in contact with a young boy named Yash Barot on Snapchat. Girl was talking to the boy through message. On Thursday, young boy Yash Barot asked girl to come to Abu and she was ready. So late on Thursday night at 3 o’clock, youngsters Yash Barot and Nilay Shah reached at girl’s house in a car with two teenagers. The youths abducted girl to take her to Mount Abu. However, during the police investigation, a CCTV camera was found in the car based on which police reached to the accused.
Police prepared medical reports of the girl and four youths. Preliminary investigation has revealed that no unwanted act was committed with girl. At the same time, in the interrogation of girl, youths have confessed that they did not commit any misdeed or molestation. In police investigation, it was found that girl had a quarrel at her home So She did not wanted to stay at home and went out with the youths. The car of accused Yash Barot’s father taken to Abu was seized by police and started further investigation.
Police have registered a case of kidnapping and arrested accused youths. Yash Barot and Nilay Shah and are seeking their remand. The four arrested youths are studying in college.
