Gandhinagar, June 8: The nomination process for the Rajya Sabha Elections 2026 gathered momentum in Gandhinagar on Monday as BJP candidates Rajubhai Shukla, Mukeshbhai Rathwa, Mansinh Parmar and Jitendra Meghjibhai Kanzariya formally submitted their nomination papers.

The candidates filed their nominations in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, senior ministers, legislators and party office-bearers. The occasion reflected the party’s preparedness and confidence ahead of the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls.

Speaking on the occasion, party leaders expressed confidence that the BJP would secure all four seats, citing the party’s strong position in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. The candidates also interacted with MLAs and senior leaders before completing the nomination process.

Rajubhai Shukla is known for his long association with public life and organizational work, while Mukeshbhai Rathwa has represented tribal communities through his social and political initiatives. Mansinh Parmar has been actively involved in grassroots development efforts, and Jitendra Meghjibhai Kanzariya is recognized for his contribution to party organization and public service.
A large number of BJP workers and supporters gathered to extend their best wishes to the candidates. Senior leaders emphasized that the Rajya Sabha plays a crucial role in strengthening the democratic framework of the country by representing the interests of states in Parliament.
With the nomination process now underway, attention will shift to the next stages of scrutiny and polling as per the election schedule. Political observers expect a keenly watched contest as parties prepare for the Upper House elections.
