In an interesting GT vs CSK IPL Match of IPL 2024 match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Friday.
Opening batsman Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan piled up a historic 210 run partnership along with individual centuries of their own. CSK won the toss and decied to bowl first.
GT skipper Gill and Sudharsan 210-run stand is the biggest opening pair partnership in the history of the IPL. Gill notched history of his own by scoring the 100th IPL century as his counterpart Sudharsan’s knock of 103 runs pushed him to cross the 1000-run mark in the IPL cricket season.
However bowler Tushar Deshpande clinched wicket of both settled openers and a tight spell of last overs from Simarjeet and Thakur restricted GT to 231 runs in 20 overs.
Gujarat Titans have won this game by 35 runs. CSK were restricted to 196 for 8 in 20 overs in chase of 232. Daryl Mitchell scored 63 runs off 34 balls while Moeen Ali hit 56 off 36.
