Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel contactable on WhatsApp now

Under able guidance of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, new ‘Technology Based Initiative’ E-Modules for public welfare have been launched in Chief Minister’s Office at Gandhinagar today. Chief Minister Patel launched these advanced technology based modules-VMS Visitors Management System, Urban Grievance Redressal Monitoring System, in an attempt from Good Governance to Smart Governance through E-Governance is through implementation of this module. Websites of 8 Municipal Corporations of the state have been linked with CM dashboard through newly implemented module ‘Urban Grievance Redressal Monitoring System (UGRMS). Direct monitoring of Online or Offline Complaints of citizens of metros can now be done from CM dashboard through UGRMS.


As a result of this, a large number of petitioners, who come to Chief Minister’s office with their petitions. VMS-Visitors Management System has been developed to give easy guidance to citizens at which level their complaints with this module can have complete follow-up for solving the various complaints/requests of every citizen coming to CMO with expectation of solving their problems at different levels.

This VMS module will be useful for solving visitor queries by classifying them according to whether they can be solved at local level, departmental level or higher authority level. Through this module, common people will also get guidance to solve their problems and Chief Minister will be able to directly contact more and more citizens.


Third module launched by Chief Minister Patel ‘CMO WhatsApp Bot’ is a digital initiative to make Swagat online program more popular, which was started on inspiration by Prime Minister. Through WhatsApp bot, citizens will be able to get guidance for ‘Swagat Oline Program’ through their smart phones. Not only this, through ‘WhatsApp Bot’, citizens will be able to get contact information for seeking appointments for Chief Minister’s visit and information for availing benefits of Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Apart from this, citizens can directly send their suggestions-requests to CM by using the “Write to CMO” feature under WhatsApp bot. WhatsApp number 7030930344 has also been announced so that citizens can contact Chief Minister’s office or Chief Minister through WhatsApp bot.
