Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel cancelled all his programs until 15th January

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has cancelled all his programs until 15th January in wake of rising Coronavirus cases.

Government may announce new Covid-19 guidelines by 7 pm today.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel conducted a comprehensive review of readiness of district and metropolitan administrations against Coronavirus pandemic in the state by convening a meeting through video conferencing. Collectors, District Development Officers and District Health Officers gave complete details to Chief Minister about vaccination drive, tracing-tracking and isolation in needy cases and medicines in hospitals, oxygen beds etc. in their respective areas.

In order to provide necessary guidance to district administrations, they have been instructed to reach out to the districts. In order to increase immunity against Coronavirus, AYUSH has planned to distribute 2,000 kg of herbal powder daily in metros and districts from next Monday, January 10. He requested district and urban authorities to continuously monitor the persons living in home isolation and also those admitted to hospitals. Kailashnathan, Chief Secretary Panjak Kumar, Acting Principal Secretary of Health Department Mukesh Kumar, Senior Secretaries participated in the meeting from Gandhinagar.

In last 24 hours in Gujarat, 4,213 cases of COVID-19 were reported as on yesterday, 860 people were discharged and 1 died, active cases crossed 14,000.
