Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, a Gujarat delegation visiting the United States in connection with the Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2027 visited Micron Technology, a global leader in the semiconductor industry, on the third day of its tour.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel recalled the inauguration of Micron’s semiconductor facility in Sanand by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in February 2026. He highlighted that, under the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Gujarat’s semiconductor facilities in Sanand and Dholera are emerging as major hubs for India’s growing semiconductor ecosystem.
During the visit, Micron Chairman and CEO Shri Sanjay Mehrotra expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for the swift approval of 20 acres of land for the Sanand facility. He appreciated the Gujarat Government’s proactive and industry-friendly approach, which has helped accelerate the development of the facility and pave the way for the timely commencement of commercial production.
The visit further strengthened the partnership between Gujarat and Micron Technology and reaffirmed the state’s growing role as a key destination for semiconductor investment and manufacturing.
