JETRO Business Support Centre inaugurated by Gujarat CM

Today Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated JETRO Japan External Trade Organization Business Support Center at Ahmedabad.  JETRO was launched with an objective to attract 3 billion US dollars worth of investments By 2020.

JETRO Chairman and  CEO Hiroyuki Ishige , Consul General of Japan in Mumbai Ryoji Noda and a leading businessman Manojkumar Das were present at the opening ceremony.

15 Japanese companies had signed MOU Memorandum of Understanding of Interest of Investment with Gujarat.

Speaking on the occasion CM Rupani expressed his hope that Japanese companies would further Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Make In India.

Gujarat has adopted Focus Sector for Industrial Development and linked with Economic Corridor between India and Japan. Gujarat will provide conducive atmosphere to Japanese companies.

Rupani added that major portion of Delhi Mumbai Economic Corridor is from Gujarat. Thereby allowing Japanese companies to sell anywhere in the world their products manufactured in Gujarat through a 1,600 kms long coast of Gujarat.

1,750 acre of Land have been allotted at Khoraj for Gujarat Hybrid Industrial Park, Japan India Institute for manufacturing, Indo Japanese Industrial Township and Auto value chain in state and land to companies willing to invest in Bhagapura of Ahmedabad have been allotted.

Consul General of Japan Ryoji Noda said the launch of JETRO Business Centre in India has came as a part of PM Narendra Modi’s effort to build business terms with Japan. Today Gujarat is the best investment destination leading Japanese companies to increase their investments in Gujarat. It will further boost up economic growth of Gujaratand bring warmth between relationship of India and Japan.

JETRO Chairman Hiroyuki Ishige said that Gujarat is a developed and leading state in India andit is capable of providing Ease of doing Business policy to Japanese companies. JETRO will be a vital nodal agency in realising economic growth.

Japan is a partner country since 2003 for Gujarat Vibrant business summit and to attract more Japanese companies to India through a full fledged business centre in Ahmedabad.
