Kalorex Group’s International Yoga Day with Virtual Vibrant Yoga Students to participate from all Kalorex Group-run and other Schools

Ahmedabad, June 18, 2021: Continuing its tradition of inspiring students to focus on their overall development and well-being, year after year, Kalorex Group is all set to mark this year’s International Yoga Day with Virtual Vibrant Yoga – a virtual event, which will be held on Saturday – June 19, through the day. Online registrations for the event, which will be held in the run upto Yoga Day, are open. On the first day itself, 100+ participants from different schools have shown enthusiasm and registered.

International Yoga Day Celebrations are held across Kalorex Group-run schools since its inception seven years ago, in line with the central government’s initiative encouraging schools, colleges and other institutions to promote Yoga among all.

The event which will be virtually held, will include two sessions on musical yoga, one each on Youngistaan yoga and Zumba. All the sessions will be guided by physical training teachers of different Kalorex Group-run schools. The Yoga Day celebration will be part of Kalorex Group’s ‘Vibrant Virtual’ initiative, under which various schools run by the institution have organised a slew of virtual fun and learning activities to engage students, since summer.

Dr Manjula Pooja Shroff, Managing Director, Kalorex Group, said, “At Kalorex Group, we have emphasized on the holistic development of a child and ensuring one’s well-being is crucial to this. The theme of International Yoga Day 2021 is ‘Yoga for Well-being’. The importance of one’s physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being cannot be better understood than the unprecedented times of the pandemic that we are all living through. At Kalorex, we have leveraged the virtual platform time and again, in the most creative ways to constructively engage students into learning and other activities, aiding their overall development.”

“Vibrant Virtual Yoga is one of the many such initiatives, as part of which we aim to reach out to students across various schools, encouraging them to take up yoga practice at a young age, and adopt it as a way of life, in a way that they enjoy and benefit from it,” Dr Shroff further went on to say.

Registrations for the event will be open for students of 3-17 years of age group, not just across Kalorex Group-run schools but also other schools.

Alongside the day-long virtual session on yoga and other activities, Kalorex Group has also pushed for a social media outreach initiative to encourage more people to practice Yoga. As part of this, students who register will have to post their own video while performing yoga with a hashtag #LetsYogaIt, on their social media handle.

Through this initiative, Kalorex Group aims at encouraging more people to turn to ‘Yoga for well-being’.
