In Ahmedabad city, a Stock of liquor was surprisingly seized from Shahibaug police station. One accused arrested with 66 bottles of liquor by the State Monitoring Cell from Nawa Patel Vas of Asarwa area. Stock of liquor was hidden in a small hole like arrangement behind temple in the house by accused.
Earlier, the cell had raided and seized liquor worth lakhs of rupees. The local administration runs the liquor business at the mercy of concerned authority. Millions of rupees are spent on administration to implement liquor ban in the state. Gujarat DGP Ashish Bhatia has ordered strict action against liquor trafficking in the case.
