Lieutenant General V. Sreehari, AVSM, SC, SM, officially assumed command as the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Dakshin Bharat Area, in Chennai. The change of command took effect on August 1, 2025, following a handover ceremony on July 31, 2025 from Lt Gen Karanbir Singh Brar.
