Nadiad, Gujarat – In a remarkable display of social responsibility and community service, the Shivaji Foundation organized a grand mass wedding ceremony for 101 underprivileged girls near Adinar Chowk on the Nadiad-Dakor road. The event marked the fourth edition of this noble initiative and witnessed the presence of BJP Gujarat State President Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma, who attended as the chief guest and blessed the newlywed couples.

Addressing the gathering, Vishwakarma emphasized the significance of such initiatives, stating that organizing marriages for orphaned and underprivileged girls is among the highest forms of social service. “There can be no greater पुण્ય (virtue) than arranging dignified weddings for girls who lack parental support,” he said, highlighting the cultural importance of marriage in Indian society.

He expressed heartfelt gratitude and extended congratulations to the organizers of the Shivaji Foundation, as well as the generous donors who contributed to the successful execution of the event. Vishwakarma praised their commitment to social welfare and community upliftment.

Further speaking on the occasion, he noted that true strength lies in using one’s earnings not just for personal or family needs, but also for the betterment of society. He lauded the foundation’s efforts, revealing that through its four mass wedding events, more than 500 girls have been married, with around 3,000 women volunteers contributing their services—demonstrating a strong spirit of unity and compassion.

Highlighting social values, he urged families to treat daughters-in-law with the same respect and affection as their own daughters, stating that a girl is a symbol of Lakshmi and motherhood. He also encouraged attendees to take full advantage of various government schemes aimed at the welfare and empowerment of girls.

The event concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the message of collective responsibility, compassion, and social harmony.
