Nirav Modi’s properties searched by ED in Rs 11,400 crore PNB fraud case

Today ED The Enforcement Directorate conducted searches in 17 places including properties linked to billionaire jewellery designer Nirav Modi in Mumbai, Delhi and Gujarat on Thursday and seized diamond, jewellery and gold worth Rs 5,100 crores. The investigation agency linked to Nirav Modi and Gitanjali Gems.

The ED has also written to external affairs ministry to cancel the passports of Nirav Modi and his partner Mehul Choksi.

Nirav Modi left the country on 1st of January. CBI received complaint from PNB on 29th Jan 2018. CBI registered the case on 31st January. Lookout notice in Rs 11,400 crore  fraud has also been issued against Nirav Modi.

His wife is an American citizen who left India on 6 Jan 2018, Mehul Choksi left the country on 4 Jan 2018.,Nirav’s brother Nishal Modi is a Belgian citizen who left India on 1 Jan 2018.

CBI has issued look out circulars against all accused on 31 Jan 2018.
