Raghuvir Chaudhary noted Gujarati Writer nominated for Gnanpith Award 2015

Today noted Gujarati Writer Raghuvir Chaudhary was nominated for Gnanpith Award 2015. Speaking to media Chaudhary said I am delighted to receive this honor, infact I have been getting good response from my readers. Expressing his view about Gujarati Language, he said that use of English language has greatly increased. Education upto Class 10 should be in the native language.

Chaudhary will receive the award, which includes Rs 11 lakh ,a statue of Goddess Saraswati and a merit certificate, at a function to be held next year.

As far as contribution to other languages, Chaudhary said his many books have been translated into Hindi language.

Before Raghuvir Chaudhary, Rajendra Shah and Pannalal Patel received Gnanpith award.
