RBI reduces Repo Rate to 4% in prevailing situation

In wake of prevailing Covid-19 outbreak, Reserve Bank of India RBI cuts Repo rate by 40 bps to 4% from 4.4%.Reverse repo rate reduces by 40 bps to 3.35% from 3.75%. Inflation outlook uncertain. GDP Growth for FY may see a sharp fall even may go negative . A big concern says RBI Guv Shaktikanta Das today.
Announcements made by RBI Governer :

1. Term loan moratorium extended till August 31 The loan moratorium will be extended till August 31, says RBI governor Shaktikanta Das. This makes it a six month moratorium. He added that the lending institutions are being permitted to restore the margins for working capital to the origin level by March 31, 2021.
2. RBI governor Shaktikanta Das said we (Indians) must have faith in India’s resilience to overcome all odds.
