Bollywood veteran actress Shabana Azmi was Hospitalized After Her Car Met With an Accident, her husband Javed Akhtar Escapes Unhurt. On Saturday, Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar met with a horrific car accident at the Mumbai – Pune expressway as their car ended up ramming the behind of a truck on the road. The incident took place near a toll plaza and left Shabana Azmi seriously injured while Javed Akhtar was fortunate enough to get away unharmed. Although she has sustained a head injury, she has not faced any critical complications. FIR has been lodged against her driver Amlesh Yogendra Kamat.
Shabana Azmi Now reported to be Stable after car accident. She was shifted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai from MGM Hospital in Navi Mumbai. The accident took place near Kahalpur on Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Bollywood actor Tabu and Anil Kapoor arrived to see Shabana.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted about the distressing news. “The news of Shabana Azmi Ji’s injury in an accident is distressing. I pray for her quick recovery,” PM Modi tweeted.
