Surat: SMC health department raid and seal water plants without BIS certificate

Today in Surat, SMC Surat Municipal Corporation’s health department raid and seal water plants running without BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certificate.
In Limbayat area, water plants were raided and sealed after necessary procedure. One drinking water plant in Maha Prabunagar area was sealed by SMC team for want to adequate certificate.

BIS certification is mandatory for packaged drinking water plant and products.
