Today Indian Skipper Virat Kohli announced on social media that he will be step down as captain of the Indian cricket team in T20Is on completion of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in UAE and Oman from October 17 to November 14. He will continue to lead the team in Test cricket and ODIs.
I have decided to step down as the T20 captain after this T20 World Cup in Dubai in October Kohli wrote in his statement that he shared on his official Tweeter handle.
