Today Amidst the chants of ‘Narmade Sarvade’, Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani welcomed the Narmada water overflowing from the Sardar Sarovar Dam this morning after 10 gates of the dam were opened for the first time after installation in order to maintain the permitted water level of 131-meter.
Rupani was accompanied with Gujarat deputy chief minister Nitin Patel.
Rupani and Patel performed puja and worshipped Narmada water.
Present water level is 132.20 meters. Yesterday night 10 gates were opened upto 0.92 cms.
