The counting of votes for the local self-government elections is set to take place today, marking a crucial phase in the democratic process. The counting will begin at 9:00 AM across multiple centers, with tight security and extensive administrative arrangements in place.
A total of 382 counting centers have been established to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Across these locations, counting will be conducted in 838 counting halls, equipped to handle the large-scale process.
The vote counting will be carried out using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) on 6,991 counting tables, ensuring accuracy and speed in the results.
To manage this massive exercise, around 28,240 counting staff have been deployed. In addition, 33,750 security personnel will be stationed at various centers to maintain law and order throughout the process.
Supporting the operations further, 10,257 Class-4 employees will also be present at the counting centers, assisting in logistics and coordination.
Authorities have emphasized that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure a transparent, secure, and efficient counting process, with results expected to emerge as the day progresses.
This counting day is expected to play a decisive role in shaping the future leadership at the local level.
