Today in a fire incident twelve persons were rescued by Ahmedabad fire brigade team from a fire reported at a multistorey building in Prahladnagar area of Ahmedabad city. At 2 pm in afternoon, a technical fault in an air conditioner duct caused in a fire on ninth floor of Commerce House 4 in Prahladnagar. Fire broke out on ninth floor due to overheating of the electric duct as per fire team.
Initially total 64 people from the building were evacuated. Around 10-12 people who were stuck up on the terrace, were rescued later after when smoke reduced. Ambulance van and fire fighters rushed the spot immediately.Anandnagar Road traffic jammed due as one side of road was closed by Fire Brigade team for rescue operation. No casualties or injuries were reported in the fire incident.
