Today in a shocking incident took place at Vikas Gruh, Preventive Rescue Department in Paldi area of Ahmedabad city. As per details of the incident, one mentally retarded pregnant lady gave birth in a toilet. At the sametime she gave birth to a baby which fell and stuck into commode and her head was trapped in a commode. As soon as the incident was reported, 25 fire brigade personnel and officers rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
There was a big chaos as pregnant lady was delivered baby while going to toilet. However, fire department rescued the newborn girl by breaking the commode within minutes of the count. The girl and her mother were then taken to SVP Hospital with the help of 108 Ambulance. Entire rescue operation lasted for 25 minutes. Firstly baby girl was taken out of a commode by break opening it. Baby’s head was trapped in a commode so the commode was broken carefully and slowly so as not to injure her and finally she was rescued.
On National Fire Service Week starting today from 14th April Fire Department, did a commendable job by giving a new life to a newborn baby and stood by people in crisis.
