High level committee in Gujarat to combat CoronaVirus

In wake of prevention and protection from Coronavirus in Gujarat state, chief minister Vijay Rupani and deputy chief minister Nitin Patel has formed a high level committee comprising of state chief secretary Anil Mukim and principal secretary of health Dr Jayanti Ravi who has briefed media on arrangements made by state government to combat Coronavirus.

As an immediate action, Gujarat government orders closure of schools, colleges, aanganwadis, and coaching classes across state as a precaution for COVID19 till March 31. All internal exams at schools to be suspended. However Board exams to operate as per schedule.
All the cinema halls and swimming pools, religious entities are urged to keep away from religious gathering in the state will also remain closed from 16th to 29th March.
Person found spitting found will be fined Rs 500.

As per the extant instructions, curtains and blankets provided in AC coaches are not washed every trip. In order to prevent spread of COVID-19 blankets and curtains should be immediately withdrawn from service till further orders. Passengers should be advised to bring their own blankets in their own interest. Wide publicly should be given to this effect. Some quantity of additional bedsheets may be kept for any exigencies. Blankets & Curtains on AC coaches to be withdrawn as they are not washed every trip as per Western Railway sources.
