Indian table tennis player Bhavinaben Patel clinched a historic silver medal on her Paralympic Games debut in Tokyo, becoming only the second Indian female athlete to achieve the feat in history.
She is the first table tennis player ever to win a medal at the Paralympics for India and the second female athlete after PCI chief Deepa Malik to achieve the feat. Malik had won silver at Rio 2016 in women’s shot put.
Bhavina Patel, silver medal winner in Paralympic Table Tennis at Tokyo Olympics-2021, was presented with a cheque of Rs. 3 Crore by Harsh Sanghvi Gujaart Minister for Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities today.
Minister Sanghvi visited Bhavina’s residence in Ahmedabad and handed over the cheque of Rs 3 crores for her excellent performance in Tokyo Paralymics 2021.
