In Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, a glacier has burst and flooding anticipated. According to the update, water level in Uttarakhand’s Dhauliganga river rose after a glacier burst was reported near a power project. The incident was reported from Raini village in Tapovan area of Chamoli district, where casualties were feared. Hundreds of ITBP Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel have rushed for rescue. Nearly 50 labourers were reported to be working on the site at the time of the incident. Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat has advised people to not pay attention to any rumours in context with the incident. He is monitoring the situation.
