Ahmedabad, August 27, 2026: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel returned to Ahmedabad on Thursday after completing his US-Canada visit aimed at attracting global investment and promoting the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027. The visit covered the period from August 17 to 26.
During the tour, CM Patel and the Gujarat delegation held meetings with global companies, investors, entrepreneurs and members of the Gujarati diaspora. The delegation showcased Gujarat’s investment opportunities and discussed strengthening business partnerships across several emerging and strategic sectors.
The visit included engagements with major global companies, including Micron, Google and Walmart, along with roadshows and business meetings focused on Gujarat’s investment potential. Key sectors discussed included semiconductors, artificial intelligence, data centres, manufacturing and GIFT City.
In Canada, Patel interacted with Gujarati entrepreneurs and business leaders and invited them to invest in Gujarat and participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027. He also held discussions with organisations including TiE Toronto and the Canadian Hindu Chamber of Commerce to explore opportunities for greater investment and business collaboration.
After returning to Gujarat, Patel said the visit had generated positive responses from investors and companies. He expressed confidence that the interest shown during the tour would translate into greater investment in Gujarat.
The international outreach is part of Gujarat’s preparations for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027, with the state government seeking to position Gujarat as a preferred destination for global investment, technology and manufacturing.
The visit also strengthened engagement with the Gujarati diaspora in North America, with Patel urging overseas Gujaratis to contribute to the state’s economic development through investment and business partnerships.
